Integration Method Overview
Shopify integrations are a great way to direct live orders to one central location and source inventory into Logicbroker. Onboarding is a little more involved than Portal integrations because you will need to work with Logicbroker to establish your Shopify connection. You can always start off as a portal integration and transition to a Shopify integration once you are live.
- Order Processing: Orders will appear in Logicbroker and will be sent into the supplier’s Shopify account. Suppliers create acknowledgments (acceptance or cancellations) in the portal and will ship orders directly from Shopify.
- Inventory: Inventory is established in Shopify. Logicbroker pulls inventory every hour at 30 minutes past the hour to send to Olivela.
- Packing Slips: Suppliers can either download packing slips directly from Logicbroker – this can also be done in bulk or they can download Logicbroker-generated packing slips as a PDF off the order in Shopify (each order will have the packing slip as a PDF link in the notes section).
- For more information on Logicbroker's Shopify app for suppliers, see Shopify (Supplier Flow)

Onboarding
This section will walk you through all the steps you need to complete for a successful go-live.
Step 1: Create a Logicbroker Account
You should have already received an invitation from Logicbroker via email. Subject Line: "Welcome to Logicbroker!". This invitation will allow you to create a login and password to the Logicbroker platform. Don’t see the email? Check your junk mail folder & add do-not-reply@logicbroker.com to your contacts list.
Action:
- Accept the invitation within 7 days and create your Logicbroker account. The link expires after 7 days so if you miss the window, let us know and we can send out a new invitation.
- Once you have created an account, you send out invitations to anyone else on your team. To see how, see Managing Users
Step 2: Review the LMS (Learning Management System) (optional)
Learn Logicbroker is our Learning Management System which offers learning materials to help you become more comfortable with your dropship experience. Here, we offer an extensive library of videos, photos, and written information to help acclimate you to Logicbroker and help you succeed with your integration with Olivela. Only registered users can access Learn Logicbroker so make sure you complete Step 1 before attempting to log in.
Action: Logicbroker will assign you the Portal Supplier Onboarding Path which includes the following modules:
- Welcome to Learn Logicbroker
- Getting Started with Logicbroker: The Portal
- Supplier Overview
If you lose the email or want to have another member of your team walk through the path, you can access and share the link here: Portal Supplier Onboarding Path
To access Learn Logicbroker, go here: Learn Logicbroker
* Note that this content is general information for all suppliers - some information is not Olivela specific such as information on returns and invoices and some information is not relevant to suppliers integrating with Shopify such as creating shipments and manually uploading Excel/CSV inventory into Logicbroker. Once you walk through the path, you will continue on to Olivela/O Shopify tasks noted below *
Step 3: Connect to Shopify
In this step you will connect your Shopify account to Logicbroker.
Action:
- Go to Shopify (Supplier Flow) > navigate to the Setup tab
- Follow along with the Connect to Shopify guide
Step 4: Pull Inventory into Logicbroker
Once you have established your Shopify connection, you'll need to get your inventory into Logicbroker. Logicbroker will automatically pull in inventory (that is active and has a SKU) every hour at 30 minutes past the hour. If you do not see it in Logicbroker, you can run the job manually.
Action:
- In stage web portal, go to Settings > Scheduled Jobs
- Look for Get Inventory From API > Go Faster
- Once the button turns from gray to black, go to Products > Inventory Feeds
- Make sure Partner = Olivela > look at Events
- You should see an Inventory Imported event
Step 5: Complete Test Cases
After you have uploaded inventory, you will move onto testing where you will complete 3 test cases.
Action:
- In stage portal, go to Testing > Olivela: View > click on Create a New Test Order for each of the 3 test cases
- Confirm the orders reach your Shopify account (this may take up to 20 minutes)
- Process the 3 test cases:
- Test Case 1: Fulfill (Single Line)
- In the portal, create an acknowledgment accepting the order (be sure to include an Estimated Ship Date)
- In Shopify, create a shipment (without physically shipping) for the order by creating a shipping label. *you can void this shipping label right after to avoid any charges
- Confirm a shipment document is automatically created in Logicbroker for the first order (this may take up to 20 minutes)
- Test Case 2: Fulfill (Multi Line)
- In the portal, create an acknowledgment accepting the order (be sure to include an Estimated Ship Date)
- In Shopify, create a shipment (without physically shipping) for the order by creating a shipping label. *you can void this shipping label right after to avoid any charges
- Confirm a shipment document is automatically created in Logicbroker for the first order (this may take up to 20 minutes)
- Test Case 3: Cancel * this is the only test case you fully will process in the portal
- In the web portal, create an acknowledgment to cancel the order. Be sure to change the Quantity Cancelled for each line item so that it matches the Quantity Ordered, and enter in the Change Reason: Out of Stock for each under Acknowledgement Items.
- Test Case 1: Fulfill (Single Line)
- You will only need to use the following change reasons once you are live:
- Out of Stock
- Discontinued Item
- Cannot fulfill in time
* Please be sure a tracking number is indicated on shipments in Shopify either by creating a label or manually fulfilling the order. This will ensure shipments are created correctly in Logicbroker. *
If you are not seeing shipments being created in the portal, you can run the job faster from Logicbroker to pull in those shipments into our system.
Action:
- In stage web portal, go to Settings > Scheduled Jobs
- Look for Get Shipments From API By Order Status > Go Faster
- Once the button turns from gray to black, go back to the testing screen and make sure the shipments are there and have processed
Step 6: Request Inventory Approval
Once you have completed testing, you will need to reach out to Olivela to have your inventory approved.
Action:
- Review the inventory Logicbroker has pulled in from Shopify in the Logicbroker portal > Products > Inventory Feeds > Events > look for a feed import > View
- Reach out to Olivela with a CSV/XLSX file indicating which items are intended to be sent to them and showcased on their website - make sure all those items have a unique SKU and are active in Shopify
- If any corrections need to be made, Olivela will communicate them in this step
Step 7: Connect to Shopify in Production
Once you have completed your test case and they have all passed successfully, disconnect your Shopify account in stage and reconnect in production.
Action:
- In stage web portal, go to Settings > Connections > Shopify
- Delete your Store Name and Location ID
- Save
- Connect your Shopify account in production using the same steps as Step 3
Ready to go live!
When you successfully complete the test cases in your Shopify interface, you are nearly ready to go live!
Olivela will reach out with next steps to launch via email.
From this point on, you will use the production portal only. * You will not need to send any information to the stage portal anymore, except for special cases.
